JellyBar.
Reorder, hide and space your menu-bar icons — and the layout survives every reboot. No telemetry, no account: a menu-bar manager you can actually trust.
A tidy menu bar that stays tidy.
Capture the layout you want, reorder it by dragging, and tuck the icons you rarely need behind a chevron. JellyBar keeps it that way — through reboots, relaunches and display changes.
Capture your layout
Read your current menu bar in one tap and turn it into a layout you can edit, save and restore at will.
Drag to reorder
Arrange every icon by dragging. The order you set is the order you keep — JellyBar puts each item exactly where you left it.
A hidden zone
Move the icons you rarely need behind a chevron. Hover or click to reveal them; they tuck away again on their own.
Spacers & separators
Drop in small, medium or large gaps and bold bullet dividers to group your icons. Drag one off the bar to remove it.
One slider for spacing
Tighten or loosen the gap between every icon with a single slider — no fiddling with each item one by one.
Back up & restore
Every change is saved as a snapshot you can preview and roll back to. Your backups are mirrored to your own iCloud Drive — no server in between.
Only Accessibility
The core features need just the Accessibility permission — no screen recording. Nothing leaves your Mac, and there is no account to make.
Survives a reboot
Restart your Mac, plug in a display, relaunch the app — your layout comes back exactly as you set it. Tested from a cold boot.
It picks up new icons
Launch a new app and its icon shows up where you can see it — never silently buried in the hidden zone.
Four steps to a menu bar that stays put.
Grant Accessibility
On first launch, give JellyBar the Accessibility permission. That is the only permission it needs to read and arrange your menu bar.
Capture your bar
JellyBar reads your current menu bar into an editable layout — every icon, in the order you have now.
Arrange it
Drag icons to reorder, tuck the quiet ones behind the chevron, and add spacers or separators to group what's left.
Forget about it
Apply the layout and walk away. Reboots, relaunches and display changes won't undo your work — JellyBar puts it all back.
Coming soon — JellyBar is in final testing.
It's signed, notarized and going through its last round of testing. Leave your email and I'll let you know the moment it's ready to download.
JellyBar for macOS
Built for macOS 15 Sequoia or later · Apple Silicon · signed & notarized.
Good to know.
What permissions does JellyBar need?
Just one: Accessibility. That's what lets JellyBar read your menu bar and move icons around. There's no screen recording required for the core features, no account to create, and nothing is sent anywhere — your layout stays on your Mac.
Does my layout survive a reboot?
Yes. That's the whole point. Restart your Mac, relaunch the app, or plug in a different display, and JellyBar puts every icon back exactly where you set it. It's been tested from a cold boot to make sure the order holds.
Do you collect any data about me?
No telemetry, no analytics, no account. JellyBar doesn't phone home and doesn't know who you are. Your backups are mirrored to your own iCloud Drive if you use it — there's no Vigod Labs server in the middle.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac running macOS 15 Sequoia or later with Apple Silicon. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it installs cleanly with a drag to Applications.
When can I get it?
